Tracee Ellis Ross Just Posted A Video Showing Off Her Abs While Going Beast Mode In The Gym

  • Tracee Ellis Ross posted a new workout video to Instagram over the holidays.
  • She said it’s day one of a new program for her.
  • Tracee is pictured doing a series of resistance band exercises.

During the holidays, it’s easy to fall off the workout bandwagon, especially with days off to sleep in and all those delicious leftovers floating around the house. Tracee Ellis Ross isn’t having it, though. She’s still hitting the gym during the holidays, as demonstrated in an Instagram video posted last night. “Just reminding myself what a workout is while I make these regretful culinary choices,” she captioned the post.

In the video, Tracee shouts “Day one, new program!” and performs a series ofexercises while holding onto two mounted resistance bands. Tracee, who is 47 years old, is working up a sweat in her gray sports bra and blue snakeskin leggings.

In addition to gym sessions like this one, Tracee is also a fan of workout classes. “I have to say that Tracy Anderson’s workout the last five years has been really good for me,” she told Health. “I find that, as adults, we stay so regimented in our movement, even if we get on a treadmill. The music changes all the patterns, and my body gets to move freely, so you feel amazing—which is ultimately the point of the workouts, too.”

Here are more reasons why Tracee Ellis Ross should be your role model:

She also tries to be consistent—Tracee works out three or four times a week, and only eats foods that keep her body happy, according to Health.

In a People food diary, she also revealed that she drinks four liters of water per day. But Tracee is also human, and told her IG followers last month that during the fall, she hadn’t worked out as much as she’d have liked to. “I have not been able to workout as regularly as I like for the last two months. I lost a lot of strength. I’m trying to be really gentle with myself,” she said.

Here’s to a new year of health and fitness. Tracee, we’re right there with you.
