Jennifer Lopez Just Joked That Not Having A Home Gym Was 'A Huge Oversight'

  • Jennifer Lopez, 50, talked about her new workout routine amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • She told Reese Witherspoon, 44, on Instagram Live that she doesn’t have a home gym, but now wishes she did.
  • Instead, J.Lo is running outside and going to private gyms that are closed with fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

Reese Witherspoon, 44, and Jennifer Lopez, 50, hopped on Instagram Live to chat on Reese’s new talk show Shine On At Home today to talk about J.Lo’s new Quibi show, Thanks A Million, as well as their lives self-quarantining amid the COVID-19 pandemic. And, of course, the Little Fires Everywhere star asked the Hustlers alum how her workouts have changed since she, fiancé Alex Rodriguez, and their family have been staying at home together in Miami.

“Are you doing dance classes? Are you doing any of those fun online dance classes?” Reese asked Jennifer in the video.

“I haven’t done anything like that yet. You know, my big struggle is how to work out because we don’t have a gym here at the house, which was a huge oversight now I realize,” she responded witha laugh. “So, it’s about where I can go running that’s not, like, really populated or going to a private gym that’s closed that Alex has used when he was playing baseball.”

The Marry Me star goes on to share that she’s not looking to exercise just to stay in shape, but to keep her mental health in a good place.

“I’m just trying to find places to do my workout because it really keeps my mind right. It really makes me calm, and it quells all the thoughts that you’re having. It really keeps me happy, and that’s important right now. The fitness part of it,” she says.

The Big Little Lies alum also shared how she’s been staying active at home. “I’ve been doing this one with a choreographer Ryan Heffington,” she explained. “He’s so fun, and this is a fun fact…he was one of the dancers on ‘Bend and Snap’!” (FYI: Ryan has been hosting almost daily dance parties on his Instagram.)

J.Lo then told Reese that she and her kids recently watched Legally Blonde together during their self-quarantine, a.k.a. the most fun fact to end an Instagram Live ever.
