The Crazy Side Plank That Helps Kaley Cuoco Get THOSE Abs

Have you ever been holding a killer side plank and thought to yourself, Wow, I wish this were so much harder!? Well, if so, you should probably be BFFs with Kaley Cuoco.

The Big Bang actress loves to document her badass workout routines on Instagram, and her latest post is making me feel the burn at my desk. In the snap posted on Wednesday, Kaley has juiced her side plank with an ingenious accessory—an exercise ball she’s holding in between her legs. Can you say abs (and thighs) of steel?

The move comes courtesy of her trainer Ryan Sorenson, and based on her caption, Kaley is clearly feeling it.

“Back at it today with @ryan_sorensen who is always trying to make my side planks more interesting ?,” she wrote. “@proactivesp ?? I ❤️ it here.”

Proactive Sports Performance—a 5,000-square foot facility in California’s Westlake Village that offers both personal training and rehabilitation programs—is Kaley’s gym du jour, and she can often be found sweating alongside her sister, Briana, doing everything from single-arm cable chest presses and kettlebell squats to forearm planks and Versa Climber sprints.

And despite having the demanding job of starring on one of TV’s biggest comedies—The Big Bang Theory will air its highly anticipated series finale on May 16—Kaley always makes time for a workout.

“It’s all or nothing. I’m hot or cold. I’m not a gray area,” Kaley told Women’s Health last year when she graced the magazine’s cover. “So if I’m doing yoga, we’re doing it every day this week….Then I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I have to switch.’ Then I’m going crazy on SoulCycle….‘Okay, I have to switch.’”

Guess Kaley’s currently in a phase with her trainer right now—and damn, it’s really working for her.
