New study: those Who regularly drink tea, live longer

Who drinks over a long period of time at least three Times per week tea, lives healthier and can even lengthen proven to be life – came to these results, researchers at the Chinese Academy of Medical Science, Beijing.

The study, published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology (EJPC), shows that regular Drinking may, in particular, to reduce of green tea, the risk of cardiovascular disease and corresponding risk factors such as hypertension and dyslipidemia significantly.

Good reasons for green tea

Two reasons, the researchers emphasized here: on The one hand green tea compared to other teas is rich in polyphenols.

And black tea is served, in contrast to the green variant, often with milk, which counteracts the positive effect.

Overall, the scientists studied 100.902 people, which until the beginning of the study, neither is a heart attack, cancer or a stroke was diagnosed. The participants were divided into two groups.

In the first group, only regular tea drinkers were (at least three Times per week). The second group consisted of subjects who do not drink, or only in irregular intervals tea. Both groups were observed approximately seven years.

In a direct comparison of the two groups, the researchers found in regular tea drinkers have a 56 percent lower risk of suffering a fatal heart attack or stroke.

Other studies have shown that the bioactive substances in tea, particularly the Polyphenol, can not be long stored in the Köprer, Dr. Dongfeng Gu, one of the researchers.

Polyphenols: An Antioxidant and free radical scavenger

Polyphenols include materials to the secondary plant and occur exclusively in plants. They protect the cell structures and thus have a positive effect on the immune system, act as antioxidants and reduce the risk of certain types of cancer.

Polyphenols come in addition to green tea, red grapes, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and Apples. Broccoli, Kale, and tomatoes are also rich in the secondary plant substance.

Keep calm and drink tea

It may not always be the next trend in sports, or a new diet, to do something for his health and long life.
