At 66, Christie Brinkley Is Totally Nailing At-Home Workouts On Her Total Gym

  • Christie Brinkley, 66, is doing at-home backyard workouts on her Total Gym.
  • She stays fit by doing a bunch of moves that target her full body.
  • Two of the brand’s exercise machines are on sale at QVC right now.

While Christie Brinkley, 66, is quarantined in the Hamptons with her son amid the COVID-19 pandemic, she’s getting creative with her at-home workouts. The model brought her Total Gym machine outside to get some fresh air and sunlight while sweating it out.

“I know If I don’t get the exercise I need, I really feel it! My body just instantly rusts! Gotta grease the joints,” she captioned an Instagram video of her workout. “So in order to avoid having to have the couch surgically removed from my derrière 😉, I decided to drag my Total Gym out into the sunshine to get both vit D and some much needed exercise.”

“Quarantine is to keep us safe so I’m going to try use my time to hopefully come out of quarantine a little stronger,” she continued. “One thing I’m sure of , I am definitely full of gratitude for each and every day blessed with health 🙌🏼.”

Brinkley—who is a spokesperson for Total Gym—told Shape she uses the machine for 15 minutes each day, going through her “own little routine.” Based on her Instagram video, that routine involves body weight squats, twists, and pull-ups. (The machine is similar to a reformer Pilates machine.)

Aside from the Total Gym, Brinkley stays fit by surfing, rafting, and going for runs along the beach. To make the most of every opportunity for a workout, she does squats while blow-drying her hair and stretches while brushing her teeth, too.
