Aldi Is Selling Bottles of Margarita Wine With a 13.9 Percent ABV

There is just something special about a margarita. It’s tart, refreshing, and, most importantly, full of tequila. But now, Aldi is selling a bottled marg with a twist…no, not just of lime. The chain is selling a bottled margarita wine and we’re so intrigued.

Aldi is selling Rancho La Gloria Wine Cocktails. The bottled drinks are made with agave wine, which comes from the same plant as tequila but contains less alcohol. The wine tastes similar to tequila but has its own distinct flavor. Can we just say again how badly we want to try these??

Instagrammer @Aldi.MadeMeDoIt spotted these chilling at Aldi in two different flavors: strawberry and classic. According to the product description, the classic tastes like “lime and lemon-curd meringue with a smooth sorbet finish of candied-orange peel.” Plus, all you have to do is pour it over ice and enjoy. We’re in.

Even though it doesn’t contain any tequila, this bottled cocktail still boasts a whopping 13.9 percent ABV, which is pretty impressive, if you ask me. @Aldi.MadeMeDoIt seemed a bit turned off by the lack of tequila in the cocktail but asked commenters to share their opinion on the beverage (…I think we all know where I stand!). Many had already tried it and shared their rave reviews.

“Yes, this is now my favorite margarita. Very strong. Strawberry is better than the lime,” one person wrote. “That stuff is realllllly good! Both flavors!” another person wrote.

Many others pointed out that this drink is not an Aldi exclusive. You can also find it at places like World Market and H-E-B, where it also comes in a mango flavor. If you are heading to Aldi and want to pick this up, though, it’s listed for $12.99 a bottle.
