Julianne Hough Looks Almost Unrecognizable With a Bob and Bangs

Julianne Hough, is that really you? The triple threat hit the red carpet for the A Star Is Born premiere looking unrecognizable in a bright blonde bob and blunt bangs, confirming that the lobs that dominated red carpets over the summer are about to get even shorter for fall.

While some might have assumed at first glance that this was a wig, the for-sure cut came care of stylist Riawna Capri at Los Angeles's Nine Zero One Salon. "Julianne has been so excited to go short since we were growing it out for her wedding," Capri tells Allure. For the July 2017 nuptials, she pinned her long hair into a faux bob, and this time, she decided to whip out the scissors and make it official with style inspired by a "chic French bob." Capri, who's done Hough's hair "hundreds of times", calls the actress a "true chameleon," noting that she "looks good with everything" and "always loves change and creating new looks."

Last year, Hough memorably dyed her hair red* coloring process, which was a significant change from the bright blonde shade she'd always worn. "? I have never felt more like ME than I do right now!! I have always felt like a red head my whole life, even to the point that I've thought that my future daughter would 100% be a red head! I've seriously talked about doing this for 6 years, ask anyone who knows me…and now that I'm on this new journey, exploring and finding out who I truly am, I said screw it! I feel more feminine and alive and I love it! ??," she wrote on Instagram along with the big reveal.

After six months into the new look, she underwent a seven-hour coloring process to go back to blonde. Now that's dedication! "Julianne never gets stuck doing the same thing," says Capri of her latest look. "Bangs are something she always wanted to try for years and we finally just went for it!"

To be honest, she's inspiring us to do the same.
