Halle Berry Just Posted A Video Revealing She Drinks 4 Caffeinated Beverages Per Workout

Halle Berry is back at it with another BTS look into her fitness routine and diet.

For her #FitnessFriday post this week, she’s focusing on all things nutrition-related. “Our inner warrior is only as good as how we choose to nourish it, and what we eat builds our foundation,” she captioned an Instagram photo. (Where her back looks insanely toned, btw.)

This week is FLASHBACK #FitnessFriday and it covers what has kept me fit, healthy and full of energy for the past decade: diet! Our inner warrior is only as good as how we choose to nourish it, and what we eat builds our foundation. I’m thrilled to share this week’s #PHITTalks, because I think it’s safe to say @peterleethomas and I are on a nutrition mission. Check stories or IGTV and join the conversation – planning meals to coincide with exercise routine, curbing that soda addiction (guilty!), eating to cope with anxiety, and the cleansing benefits of Green Kamut Wheatgrass 🌱. Let me know what you guys love to fuel your body with in the comments, and Happy #FitnessFriday ♥️

“I’m thrilled to share this week’s #PHITTalks, because I think it’s safe to say @peterleethomas and I are on a nutrition mission,” she continued.

One topic they covered on their Instagram Stories Q&A: How to fuel a workout. While her trainer Peter Lee Thomas cited foods like eggs, avocado, and nuts as his go-to fitness fuel, Halle could only talk about one thing: Hint Kick caffeinated water.

“What I plan on every day when I work out is this Hint Water with a kick,” Halle says in her Instagram Stories video, while holding up a bottle of apple and pear flavored Hint Kick.

“You need water to stay hydrated, and Hint has caffeine in it, but it’s a natural caffeine,” she says. “And I drink three to four of these every workout.” Yep, three or four.

In her #PhitTalk, Halle also revealed that “I have a soda tooth, I like diet coke sometimes.” But she is trying to opt for healthier soda alternatives whenever she can, like kombucha, Perrier with some fresh lemon, or La Croix.

To avoid eating unhealthy snacks on the reg, Halle says she prefers to keep things like chips, cookies, and other unhealthy snacks out of her house entirely. And when she does buy treats for herself or her kids, “I keep them locked up, so we don’t have access to them,” she says. That way, “it’s more of a mindful decision to get them out.”

And case you’re wondering, Hint is a brand of flavored water that’s sweetened with “natural fruit flavors” and “free of calories, carbs, sugar and high fructose corn syrup or diet sweeteners,” according to the Hint website. Their “Hint Kick” variety also has 60 mg of caffeine. To put that into perspective, that’s less than a third of the amount of caffeine in a tall (12 ounce) Starbucks dark roast, brewed coffee.

So, no, you’re not going to be bouncing off the walls after three or four of these flavored drinks. But hey, it may give you the little extra oomph you need to keep up with Halle’s badass workouts. (One can dream!)
