Gorka Marquez shares rare insight into Strictly training diet
Gorka Marquez has shared a rare glimpse into his Strictly Come Dancing training diet as week two of rehearsals for the BBC ballroom show gets underway. The professional dancer, who has been paired with EastEnders star Maisie Smith on the show, took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to reveal what he eats for breakfast.

The 30-year-old star, who raises daughter Mia with partner Gemma Atkinson, was rustling up a healthy breakfast as he prepared for another gruelling day of training with Maisie.
Gorka starts his day with a supergreen juice from BoxedOff, a vegan supplements company that offers plant-based nutrition.

Next up, Gorka tucks into a bowl of fruit, combining 90g of dates with an apple and a banana, adding a sprinkle of cinnamon for sweetness and peanut butter for protein.

He also adds a dash of pink salt to the recipe; health benefits apparently include regulating blood sugar, reducing signs of aging and improving sleep quality. We’ll have what he’s having.

Gorka finishes off his breakfast of champions with a four-egg omelette, combining two egg whites with two whole eggs.

We’re not surprised Gorka pays close attention to giving his body the nutrients and energy it needs since he has such an intense weekly training schedule during Strictly season.
His partner Gemma previously told HELLO! what the pair like to eat at home. The star revealed breakfast is a major event in their household and the fitness-loving duo always make sure they start the day off right.

She said: “I’ll either have poached eggs on a bagel with avocado and some greens, or I’ll have my porridge with almonds, berries and honey.”
After getting in a workout session in the morning, she restores her energy with a nutritious, vegetable-packed smoothie. “Then I’ll train and I’ll probably have a smoothie mid-morning with whey protein, coconut milk, almonds, frozen spinach, frozen broccoli and frozen cauliflower”, she added.
