Woman sheds 16.5 STONE after doctors warned she wouldn’t live past 40 – here’s how

By the time Emma turned 18, she tipped the scales at an unhealthy 15st 11lbs.

And during the following decades, she ballooned further as she began binging on takeaway pizzas and kebabs.

She washed this down with fizzy drinks, while also mindlessly munching on crisps and chocolate bars throughout the day.

The extra bulk began getting in the way of the fast food fan’s life – and also left her in some pretty embarrassing situations.

She admitted: “It is so difficult just to exist in the world at that size. Everything is a struggle.

“I would Google restaurants before I went there to ensure their seats were big enough.

“I was always anxious about breaking chairs or getting stuck in booths.”

Emma added: “One of the most embarrassing things was when I went to Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast when I was around 25 years old with all my friends.

“I dreaded it, but I wanted to give it a go. After lining up for ages, my friends and I finally got our turn on this ride called the giant drop.

“I could see the ride attendant looking at me uneasily. I squeezed into the seat and they tried to bring the vest harness down and it wouldn’t click into place.

“I was too fat for the ride and couldn’t be locked in. A loud siren went off and everyone was staring at me.

“I was mortified, and I had to walk back past this huge line of people. Lots of them were snickering at me and making mean comments.

“I just went back to my hotel room and cried. I ordered a bucket of KFC chicken to feel better, but of course it just made me feel worse.”

While these mortifying moments contributed to Emma’s desire to lose weight, she wasn’t able to shake her food habits until she received a warning from her GP in 2014.

The dieter confessed: “I’d only gone to see my doctor about my sore back, and he just laid it all on me.

“He told me that if I didn’t lose weight, not only would my back not get better but I wouldn’t survive past 40.”

Determined to extend her short life expectancy, the super-slimmer decided to get gastric band surgery.

She also exercised regularly and took up a low carb and high protein diet.

Since kicking her fast food addiction, Emma has shed 16st 7lbs.

She has also had surgery to remove her excess skin, as well as a tummy tuck, thigh lift and breast lift.

Since transforming her body, the Aussie woman feels better than ever.

She said: “It makes me feel sick to think about it. I was so unhealthy

“At that size, I only watched my life from the sidelines.

“Now I’m actually experiencing all the incredible things it has to offer and I feel amazing…

“I feel and look like a completely different person, and I’ve never felt happier.

“I can’t wait to live a long and healthy life as the new me. I’m never looking back.”
