Pop-Secret's 'Popfetti' Popcorn Tastes Like Funfetti Cake, and We're Here for the Sweet and Salty Combo
When a sweet and salty craving hits, you normally have to try several different foods before you’re completely satisfied. You might have a handful of pretzels, and some dark chocolate. Maybe you reach for peanut butter and a banana. Or, you could just go for cake-flavored popcorn. Pop Secret’s limited edition “Popfetti” covers sweet and salty flavors in one snack.
The popcorn has the taste of yellow cake and buttercream frosting (like your favorite funfetti cake), and is made with red and blue sprinkles. We all know how delicious chocolate in popcorn is. Just imagine a sweet flavor already cooked in the popcorn.
Instagram user @junkfoodmom spotted the snack in Meijer. According to the foodie, “It’s a stretch to say it tastes like cake and frosting but it’s still delicious.”

Well look who’s back! Limited Edition Pop Secret Popfetti Popcorn. 🎉 🍿 “ Yellow cake and Buttercream Frosting flavor with red and blue sprinkles”. Ahhh.. forget all that. It’s a stretch to say it tastes like cake and frosting but it’s still delicious. Not quite as sweet as say Kettle Corn. Apparently, the Popfetti is not as sweet as kettle corn. @junkfoodmom had a good idea: “I’m putting some of this aside to add to some ice cream.” If funfetti-flavored popcorn sounds up your alley, join the masses. Retailers are selling out of the unique flavor as we speak (as you read?). Whatever—the point is, you gotta get your Popfetti quick!
An Amazon seller is selling the coveted Pop Secret flavor at a whopping $39. If that’s not a testament to how delicious the Popfetti is, I don’t know what is. If you don’t want to pay forty bucks for popcorn (no shame if you do, though), let’s cross our fingers the popcorn comes back around next year. Per Junk Banter, it was available last year, as well.
