How to lose weight in your lunch break – by following these simple tips

Many people might agree that time is the main thing that gets in the way of their weight loss.

There are plenty ways to go about burning calories, whether it’s by following the Slimming World plan or doing an F45 class.

Fortunately for those who don’t have the time or money, all it takes is a few lifestyle changes.

We spoke exclusively to personal trainer and nutritional advisor Natasha Marcusfield who revealed her weight loss tips.

Here are five tips to shedding belly fat in your lunch break:

1. Try a lunchtime yoga class

Yoga burns 3-6 calories per minute and helps you build muscular strength by using your body weight.

Not only does yoga come with a whole host of weight loss benefits it also offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of your working day.

Natasha recommends FLY LDN’s 45-minute FlowLife lunchtime session, which are equipped with a high spec AV screen and surround sound.

These sessions are a great way to take the weight off your shoulders, leaving you less anxious, so you can clear your head.

2. Drink more water

To lose weight, it’s very important to up your H20 intake.

Drinking water helps your body burn more calories, particularly if it’s cold water.

Natasha said: “It’s also a natural appetite suppressant, helping you fight those cravings for calorific foods.

“Drinking plenty of water throughout the day and during your lunch, will help flush negative toxins from your body too, making your overall health much greater.”

3. Walk it off

Walking it one of the most effective ways to burn fat and lose weight.

A study found that walking for 45 minutes per day led to weight loss and that could help you burn a whopping 200 calories.

4. Swap your snacks

Sugar is one of the biggest causes of inflammation and water retention in the body.

By swapping your satisfying sugary snacks to low sugar alternatives, you will prevent the puffy post sugar bloats.

Nibble Protein offer these insanely delicious chocolatey Brownie Bites which substitute sugar for naturally sweet dried plum puree, making them the perfect addition to your snack draw.

5. Meal plan

Instead of heading to the nearest food stall or grabbing a sandwich from the local supermarket for your lunch, bring in healthy homemade lunches.

By making your lunch yourself, you can ensure that all the ingredients that go into it combine the essential balances of carbs, protein and fat for weight loss.

Natasha concluded: “Investing in some quality Tupperware is a great way to start your meal prep journey.”
